Lots of snow
We went over the pass at 9703 feet. There is still plenty of snow on the ground up here. The temperature dropped into the upper 40s.

We’re passing through the Bighorn National Forest. Climbing to elevations over 8000 ft. There were yellow and purple flowers all around. It was quite pretty.

We’re in Wyoming now. Headed for Cody. This was like being in an old western town.

Jewel cave national monument is our first stop today. The scenic tour. Was the one we chose which was a half mile and 748 stair steps. It was incredible. My knees are not speaking to me now.

We woke up this morning to a beautiful day in the black hills. It’s a bit chilly and windy. The heat and himidy of the south fading into memories.

Tonight we are spending the night in Hill City. Tomorrow we will visit the jewel caves. South Dakota is so beautiful. Even the badlands are beautiful. It’s one of my favorite places in the country.
